Pre-Check is a fast eligibility check sent to you by the retailer or business you're buying or considering buying from. It gives both you and the retailer an early indication of whether you are likely to be approved for monthly payments, helping you choose a payment plan and product that comfortably fits your budget.

Why Use Pre-Check?

• No Negative Impact on Your Credit Score: Pre-Check performs a soft credit check only. It will not negatively impact your credit rating or credit report.

• No Obligation: Checking your eligibility doesn't mean you have to buy. You are under no pressure to complete the purchase, but with Pre-Check your options are clearer.

• Valid for 7 Days: Take your time to think it over, your Pre-Check stays valid for a full week in which time you can proceed to a full application. You can still use PayItMonthly after this period; however, you will need to start a new application.

The retailer will send you a link via email or SMS inviting you to complete a quick eligibility check.

2. Enter Your Details and Approve

Click the link and fill out a few basic details (such as your name, date of birth, and home address). In some cases, the retailer may have already filled these in for you to save you time before you approve the Pre-Check.

3. Get Your Result

Within 15 seconds, you'll see your result on screen. This will show whether you're likely to be approved and give you an idea of your monthly payment options. Your retailer will see your result too so they can tailor your options.

4. Complete Your Purchase

If you’re happy to go ahead, you can proceed straight to completing your full application with the retailer - no need to re-enter your information!
